Motivation

For me, walking into the Pilates studio is like entering a playground. I get to stretch my limbs, feel joy in movement, get stronger, and pursue new challenges. Pilates has not only helped alleviate my knee and back pain, but given me the body awareness and skills to achieve exercises I never thought possible. Most importantly, Pilates is simply fun to do. It has a playfulness and exuberance that I never found when going to the gym—and with even better results. Pilates makes me feel refreshed physically and mentally, giving me a youthful energy and confidence that I can bring into the rest of my life.

I believe that no matter their age, size, or fitness level, anyone can find these benefits from the Pilates method. It’s my pleasure to share this every day with such a diverse range of clients, from absolute beginners to athletes, people of various backgrounds and nationalities, and with different hobbies and vocations, from students and young professionals to executives and public figures. I continually strive to expand my knowledge of fitness, whether through participating in Pilates continuing education or learning Personal Training, Spiraldynamik® and Fascial Stretch Therapy™ techniques, to provide my clients with the best guidance in reaching their fitness goals.

About

I grew up in the “Motor City”, Detroit, USA, where I dedicated myself to studying Literature and teaching writing courses. After a chance encounter on an airplane, I met the love of my life and embarked on a new life in Munich, Lausanne, and now Zurich. Since living in Switzerland, I have immersed myself in a wide range of professions, ranging from communications to art restoration. I feel truly at home in Zurich and proudly became a Swiss citizen in 2024.

I started Pilates as a way to mix up my fitness routine of swimming, cycling and yoga. Pilates made me stronger than ever before and it quickly became my favorite workout.  It has improved my coordination, muscle balance and speed, inspiring me to take up new hobbies, such as tennis. In March 2022, I earned my teacher certification through the Uno Pilates School. Since then, I have been further developing my skills as a fitness trainer through studying Spiraldynamik® and regularly participating in advanced Pilates workshops. I am also certified in Fascial Stretch Therapy™, an assisted stretching method developed in the USA. Currently, I am working on becoming a certified Personal Trainer through Prävensana, Zurich. This multifaceted approach to Pilates helps me customize and determine the strategies best suited to each client so that they successfully achieve their specific fitness goals and get most value out of their Pilates sessions.
