Why I love teaching
Joseph Pilates used to say “Don’t settle for good, strive for greatness.” Pilates always was one of my personal happy hours when I was a student. After each session I felt physically stronger, aligned, energized and stretched with a calm and focused mind. It’s my passion and a privilege to share my enthusiasm with my clients and pass on this outstanding training method. In my sessions I strongly focus on body awareness, anatomically correct movement, breathing and the coordinated use of the body. To see clients leave the studio with a good feeling and a smile on there face fills my heart with gratitude.
I was born in Zurich. From earliest childhood I have been a passionate swimmer. Gymnastics and horseback riding also played an important part while growing up.
I discovered Pilates in 2006 and three years later began the System Education Program in Zurich with Power Pilates New York, one of the most renowned institutions for Pilates training in the USA.
The Pilates method’s strong focus on the connection of the body and mind as well as the love of working with people inspired me to take on a career change to the health sector in 2010. I have been teaching classical Pilates ever since. I am qualified to teach all levels of Pilates on all available equipment. In addition, I successfully passed the Pilates Method Alliance Third Party Professional Certification Exam in 2013.
Aside from committing to Pilates, I studied psychology at the University of Zurich from 2011 until 2013 and successfully passed the assessment phase of the bachelor studies.
To complement my work, I took part in a Yoga Alliance registered 200-hour Teacher Training in Anusara® Yoga with Jeff and Ezgi Fisher in 2013. In 2016, I started the education in Spiraldynamik®. After the completion of the Basic Level I attended the Intermediate “Physiopädagogik” course as well as the Intermediate Specific Yoga and Med for Move courses. I certified at Spiraldynamik® Level Intermediate in June 2018.
Michèle is incredibly observant and empathetic and seems to know my body better than I do. I cannot think of a better coach than Michèle and highly recommended her to anybody who is serious about his or her body.
Michèle is a great teacher. I appreciate her friendly and collegial manner, but also her great knowledge of the things she teaches. She never loses sight of the existing potential and is very flexible and open when it comes to designing the lessons. Her will to always take you forward, is what makes her stand out.
Through the Pilates training with Michèle, my physical and mental well-being has improved considerably and the restrictions in everyday life belong to the past. I have built up muscle mass, increased mobility and lost fat. In her bright and beautifully furnished studio you immediately feel at home! I particularly appreciate Michèle's high level of professionalism and her personal, friendly and demanding manner. The individual training has helped me to stretch my physical limits further and further. I never thought at the beginning of my "Pilates career" that I would ever be able to do certain exercises again with my back problems. The hopes have been surpassed by quantum leaps - and it still carries on. Thank you!

The holistic approach of this training method is unique. I feel better after EVERY single workout. Michèle varies the intensity and the sequence of the training and corrects very precisely. Michèle dedicates all her focus to the client and gets the most out of me. Pilates training is the best investment in my physical wellbeing and fitness.
